Condominiums vs. Apartments
According to many Filipinos, condominiums and apartments (building) are similar in many ways, particularly with its built as well as its location.

In terms of Location
According to manyphilippine real estate experts, similar to what made condominiums popular in the market, a number of apartments have also been made available in popular places such as near or inside major business and commercial districts. This allowed both the residents of condominiums and apartments to live within walking distance or mass transit distance from their workplaces.

This means that apartments can be as beneficial as condominiums in terms of location. But how about its luxuries?

In terms of Luxuries
Other than its location, condominiums have also become very popular in terms of its luxuries, luxuries meaning its amenities. Most new types of condominiums today are similar to the popular townhouse complexes which are known as condominium complexes. These types of condominiums are mostly found in far places, normally in a very quiet and peaceful place. However, other than its peaceful and relaxing location, condominium complexes are also known for its amenities, such as swimming pools, gyms, and recreational parks.

However, other than condominium complexes and townhouse complexes, apartments have also been known for such luxuries. According to philippine real estate experts, these types of apartments are known as garden apartment complexes. Similar to condominium complexes, these types of apartments are also known for its own amenities and peaceful environment.

In terms of affordability
Condominiums and apartments are practically similar with each other, both in advantages and disadvantages. There is, however, a difference between apartments and condominiums. This is with its cost. According to many experts, apartments became popular in the first place because of its affordability. Compared to buying a condo unit, which usually costs around P800,000 to P2,000,000 Philippine Pesos, or even greater, apartments are usually rented, which is beneficial for many Filipinos that cannot afford to invest that kind of money.

However, the disadvantage of owning an apartment is that it doesn't protect its residents from eviction from the land lord. Condominiums can then provide a more permanent residence than that of apartments.
